In a harmonious blend of philanthropy and entertainment, Children’s Hospital New Orleans (CHNOLA) is set to orchestrate a fundraising initiative of giant proportions. The hospital is raffling coveted suite tickets for Taylor Swift’s upcoming Eras Tour concert in the heart of New Orleans.
This raffle offers participants the chance to secure one of 28 suite tickets for the Taylor Swift concert, a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity that goes beyond the allure of a captivating performance. Each $200 ticket purchase provides an entry into the raffle, with a maximum of 5,000 chances available. Seven fortunate winners, each receiving four tickets, will be drawn and notified on March 23, 2024, during the 42nd annual Sugarplum Ball, making dreams come true for Swifties and supporting a cause close to many hearts.
Lucio A. Fragoso, President, and CEO of CHNOLA expressed his enthusiasm, stating, “This is truly a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, and for no greater cause.” Fragoso emphasizes that the raffle proceeds will be allocated towards the establishment of a new Pediatric Stem Cell Transplant Unit at CHNOLA, a facility designed to enhance the lives of children undergoing stem cell transplantation.
“We are calling all Swifties to join in, and enter for your chances to win,” he says.
The Center for Cancer and Blood Disorders at CHNOLA specializes in providing advanced treatments for various childhood cancers and blood disorders, making it the sole accredited pediatric stem cell transplant facility in the state. As the largest facility of its kind in the region, CHNOLA performs bone marrow transplants and CAR-T cell therapy while actively engaging in groundbreaking cancer research.
Patients undergoing stem cell transplantation face unique challenges, requiring prolonged hospital stays and heightened protection due to their immunocompromised state. To address these challenges, Pediatric Stem Cell Transplant Units are expertly designed to cater to children’s needs, providing a conducive environment for play and socialization while minimizing infection risks.
CHNOLA, having cared for 20 transplant patients this year, anticipates an increase in this population as the hospital continues to develop its Stem Cell Transplant and Cellular Therapy Program. Notably, the hospital will be the exclusive facility in Louisiana offering gene therapy for Sickle Cell disease patients, a life-changing treatment approved by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and scheduled to commence in 2024.
All proceeds from the TAYLOR SWIFT | THE ERAS TOUR raffle will play a pivotal role in supporting CHNOLA’s ongoing efforts to enhance pediatric cancer care. To learn more about this charitable initiative, purchase raffle tickets, and review official participation rules, visit chnola.org/taylor.
