Tonight- Friday, Oct. 19th

Twinkle Twinkle at Later Library branch, 5120 St. Charles Ave.  A special performance by theGreater New Orleans Youth Orchestra. 6:30–8pm bring picnic baskets and blankets for a night  of music. Click here for more info. Part of the 3rd Annual New Orleans Children’s Book Festival.

 

Boo at the Zoo 

at Audubon Zoo from 5pm  9pm. $17 per person. Bring your little ghosts and goblins to Boo at the Zoo! This annual Audubon Zoo extravaganza is a safe, fun-filled Halloween event for children up to age 12.

Ghosts in the Oaks

Carousel Gardens Amusement Park, from 6 pm 10pm. Ghosts in the Oaks will be held on Friday, October 19th and Saturday, October 20th. This family-friendly Halloween event offers fun for the whole family including unlimited rides in Carousel Gardens Amusement Park, trick-or-treating in Storyland, arts and crafts, face-painting, live music and much more.

JapanFest

NOMA, from 11 am –5pm, Starting at 11 a.m. with the Kaminari Taiko Drummers, visitors will experience a day full of martial arts demonstrations, performances, exhibits, and hands-on activities, all exploring the rich culture of Japan. 3rd Annual New Orleans Children’s Book Festival

NOPL Latter Library Branch, 5120 St. Charles Ave. 10– 2pm. Books, food, face painting, storytelling , book signing, art activities- and so much more. Come listen to your favorite authors read their books. For more info, click here.

Oak Alley Plantation Fall Arts & Crafts Festival

9 am – 5 pm, Vacherie. Shop 170 incredible booths of artists, crafts, food, and snacks along with activities for kids, music, and more. Items on display feature original and handmade creations such as jewelry, furniture, clothing, home accessories, paintings and prints, pottery, wooden crafts, and toys.
