Summer fun is making a splash again in Baton Rouge as Blue Bayou Waterpark gets ready to reopen for the 2026 season. Single-day tickets are on sale now, with the season officially kicking off Saturday, May 16 and running through Labor Day weekend. Season passes are also available for families who want to make the most of unlimited visits all summer long.

The park opens May 16–17, then shifts into daily operations starting May 22 through August 9, before moving to weekends only through Labor Day. Regular hours run from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., with some variations throughout the season.

There are plenty of reasons families will want to make the trip. The park has been refreshed with updated attractions, and from kid-friendly splash zones like Pirate’s Cove to high-energy slides like Mad Moccasin and Azuka, there’s something for every age and thrill level. Families can also relax in the wave pool or float the day away while enjoying added perks like free inner tubes, life jackets, and unlimited fountain drinks.

Beyond the slides and wave pools, Blue Bayou is putting a strong focus on the overall guest experience. Crews have worked across the park to refresh attractions, improve safety, and upgrade facilities. New smart lockers, enhanced dining areas, and added internet access will help make visits smoother and more convenient.

It’s all part of a bigger goal—creating a clean, safe, and family-friendly space where guests can relax, play, and make lasting summer memories together.
