New Orleans is now home to one of the longest continuous riverfront parks in the country, and it’s a game-changer for both locals and visitors. The newly expanded Goldring Woldenberg Riverfront Park features about 2.25 miles of vibrant green space along the Mississippi River.

This park offers something for everyone. Visitors can relax on swings, unwind in hammock areas, or take a break on benches under shaded canopy trees. Families will especially love the marsh-themed playground, designed for kids of all ages, while misting features in the park help keep things cool during hot days.

What makes this project truly special is the access it provides. For the first time in generations, people can enjoy continuous public access to the river, spanning from Spanish Plaza to Crescent Park. Goldring Woldenberg Riverfront Park will be open Sunday through Thursday from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m., and from 6 a.m. to midnight on Friday and Saturday.

Whether you’re looking for a peaceful stroll, a place to relax, or a fun outing with family, this riverfront park offers a little bit of everything—right along one of America’s most historical rivers.
