NORDC’s Back to School Dance Glow

Youth celebrate their return to school with a party! Attendees are encouraged to wear glow in the dark apparel & light up accessories. The participant who  glows the most will win a prize! Refreshments will be served. Event also features door prizes and a photo booth. Event is free and open to ages 4 – 12 years old. 6-8 pm.

Saints Kickoff Run & Kids Fun Run
Mercedes-Benz Superdome, 1500 Sugar Bowl Dr, New Orleans, 70112
The 2017 SAINTS KICKOFF RUN starts outside the Mercedes-Benz Superdome in Champions Square, continues down Poydras Street and through the French Quarter before runners return to finish ON THE FIELD AT THE 50 YARD LINE! The run will begin at 7:30 am.
Get your kids involved in kicking off the 2017 Saints football season! Kids will get excited about fitness when they lace up their shoes and enjoy the half-mile run. All kids will receive a short sleeve tee and a kid’s commemorative finisher’s medal. The kids 1/2 mile race will start at 9:15am. For more information or to register, click here

What better way to end the school week than getting cozy with kitties and canines, enjoying great G – rated critter movies, making friends with other young animal lover and snacking on pizza and popcorn at the Louisiana SPCA. This is a purrrrrfect, fun-filled night for children and an opportunity for parents to enjoy an evening out by themselves. Kids ages 5-10. Cost is $35. 6-9:30 pm. Tour de Jefferson & Livewell Fest
The Al Copeland Concert Meadow at Lafreniere Park, 3000 Downs Blvd, Metairie, 70003
Tour de Jefferson is the largest community event organized by the Jefferson Chamber of Commerce. Since it’s inception in 2006, Tour de Jefferson has become one of the premier cycling events in the region, bringing riders from around the country to Jefferson Parish each year.
