Louisiana, USA

Arc of Greater New Orleans works to secure for all people with intellectual disabilities opportunities to develop, function, and live to their fullest potential.

Early Intervention
ArcGNO is here to help guide families through what can be an overwhelming process of receiving needed services to help their child develop cognitively, physically and with social and communication skills.
Louisiana funds services to newborns, infants, and toddlers through a program called EarlySteps. ArcGNO Family Supports Coordination is a premier EarlySteps service provider in the New Orleans metro area.

In-Home Services
ArcGNO provides 24-hour support staff to help with daily living skills as well as assist with emergencies. Through our Supported Independent Living Program, we provide various supportive services that encompass all aspects of independent living.

Community Integration (CI)
CI Program starts with five area community centers that serve as day facilities for adults. Supervised by a compassionate staff of trained caregivers, the community centers are located in a four-parish area: Chalmette, Metairie, Northshore, Uptown, and Westwego.

Employment Services
ArcGNO is known to compassionately care for people with intellectual disabilities or developmental delays (IDD) from birth-to-death, but an IDD diagnosis does not define those they care for. They strive to create communities that are inclusive and accepting, and they encourage: independence, self-esteem, and self-reliance that leads to a fulfilling and engaging life.
