Choose from camps focused on sports, visual arts, theater arts, STEM, academic enrichment, outdoors, dance, and more! Weekly field trips to places like the Skate Center, Aquarium, Zoo, and Insectarium. Participants also visit NORD pools, where they learn about water safety and how to swim. (Field trips are contingent upon CDC guidelines.) We offer 13–15-year-old teens the opportunity to gain soft and technical skills as they explore a variety of careers and entrepreneurship. Our goal is to provide fun, engaging summer experiences. There is no cost to participate, and participants receive a stipend. SAVE THE DATE: Summer Camp Expo The Summer Camp Expo is the first opportunity for New Orleans families to learn about NORD summer camps for youth ages 4–12. This year, we will be hosting the event virtually via Zoom. Download the SUMMER CAMP APPLICATION. Each summer camp will have an individual breakout room where parents can directly speak to camp directors and learn more about their camp, activities, and requirements. Parents can begin sending their completed application with all required components at 9:00 am on Saturday, March 6, 2021 at NORDCyouth@nola.gov. For families who are unable to submit their completed applications via email, we will have in-person registration by appointment only on Saturday, March 6, 2021 at the Milne Rec Center (5420 Franklin Ave.) and Cut-Off Rec Center (6600 Belgrade St.). To schedule an in-person registration appointment, please contact nordcyouth@nola.gov or 504.658.3010. All in-person appointments will be (1) parent only; no children or guests allowed. Deadline to set an in-person is March 4. All appointment confirmations will be sent by March 5. No walk-up or on-site appointments on March 6, 2021.
