Mardi Gras Family Day + Make Your Own Doubloon

Laissez les bons temps rouler and happy almost Mardi Gras! Drop by the YAYA Arts Center for Mardi Gras Family Day. Bring the family to celebrate carnival season! Decorate masks, create funky bead mosaics, get your face painted, and remember to bring a cereal box or shoebox to make a parade float! We will also have opportunities to make your very own Mardi Gras glass doubloon! Make 1 glass doubloon for $10 or 3 for $25. All other crafts are free! King Cake Festival

Ochnser Medical Center presents the 5th Annual King Cake Festival – a celebration benefiting babies and children at Ochsner. Taste king cakes from the area’s finest bakeries, enjoy live music and support pediatric programs.
Family Gras

This two-day festival is a celebration of carnival and family. Enjoy local and national performers, New Orleans food, a local art market, a kids’ zone, and the Mardi Gras parades that roll through Metairie.
Kids Night Out – Beads and Bling
February 2, 6:30-10 pm
East Jefferson YMCA, 6691 Riverside Dr., Metairie
The Y knows parents need a break from time to time. With Kids Night Out events, parents can have a night out while kids have fun. Trained Y staff engage children in active play, crafts, theme based games and more! Pizza dinner is included and children are encouraged to dress up according to the Beads and Bling theme to be eligible to win prizes. Drop-off: 6:30-6:45pm. Pick-up: by 10pm. Members: $10 per child, Non-Members: $18 per child. Please pre-register, as available spots fill fast. $5.00 late fee added to day of registration.
Mardi Gras Party at City Putt
February 2-4, 6-10 pm
City Putt, New Orleans City Park
A Mardi Gras Party where each person will get to play one course, enjoy one cocktail (or soft drink), taste sweet treats, get a free raffle ticket, and win giveaways, too. $10/person. For more information, call 50.483.9385.
Studio Kids: Fantastic Floats

New Orleans Museum of Art
