The Lafon Performing Arts Center has announced its 2025-2026 season, unveiling a new programming model that highlights art as a bridge between generations, cultures, and perspectives. The season kicks off September 13 with the Sharpe Family Singers.
The updated structure organizes performances into three categories: the Main Stage Series featuring 10 national and international touring artists, the Community Series highlighting six local performers and organizations from St. Charles Parish, and the School Series, which presents more than 50 shows by parish public school students on the Shell Theatre stage.
“It is with great pride and anticipation that I welcome you to the 2025-2026 season shaped by the powerful idea that art is a bridge,” says Ned Moore, Director of the Lafon Performing Arts Center. “We’re excited to bring generations, cultures, and perspectives together through all of the diverse performances we have coming to the Lafon Performing Arts Center.”
Highlights of the Main Stage Series include LPO Presents: The Music of John Williams (Sept. 19), Omnium Circus: I’mPossible (Oct. 5), Menopause the Musical 2: Cruising (Nov. 20), Pete the Cat (Feb. 8, 2026), and Broadway star Mandy Gonzalez with the Louisiana Philharmonic Orchestra performing Everything I Know: Mandy Gonzalez Sings Lin-Manuel Miranda (March 14, 2026).
The Community Series will spotlight familiar parish favorites such as Ballet Images’ The Nutcracker (Dec. 13-14, 2025) and Jefferson Performing Arts Society’s I Love You, You’re Perfect, Now Change (Jan. 25-26, 2026), along with film screenings hosted in partnership with the St. Charles Parish Library.
Tickets begin at $25, with subscription packages and membership options available. Each ticket purchased supports the Artsperience program, which ensures more than 7,000 St. Charles Parish Public School students receive free access to professional arts experiences during the school day.
With offerings ranging from Broadway musicals to circus acts, the Lafon’s 2025-2026 season promises to be a celebration of creativity, community, and connection. Discover more details on performances and tickets at lafonartscenter.org.
