Greater St. Stephen Ministries is hosting a free Back-to-School Supply Giveaway and Community Health & Wellness Resource Fair on Saturday, August 2, 2025, at 10 a.m. at Morton Hall (5600 Read Blvd.) in New Orleans East. The event is open to the public and aims to serve more than 200 families with essential school supplies and wellness resources ahead of the new school year.

“The Back-to-School Supply Giveaway and Community Health & Wellness Resource Fair reflects our commitment to serve and be the church in action,” says Bishop T. Delbert Robinson, Senior Pastor of Greater St. Stephen. “At Greater St. Stephen Ministries, we care about reaching the whole person—mind, body, and spirit. That includes supporting our youth academically, so they can thrive both in the classroom and in life.”

In partnership with Walgreens, Inclusiv Care, Cherish, New Beginnings Beauty College, and Park Place Barber & Spa, the event will offer a wide range of free services, including blood pressure checks, diabetes screenings, dental screenings, flu vaccines, nutrition education, and beauty care discounts. Children can also receive haircut certificates and free school supplies, with tennis shoes available while supplies last.

The fair will also feature activities for children of all ages, and all services are offered at no cost to attendees. Supplies will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis. Dental services require pre-registration and a completed waiver.
