This Saturday April 5th, from 11 am to 6pm you can join Ecole Bilingue de la Nouvelle Orleans in celebrating all things French, for t
he 15th anniversary of New Orleans’ beloved French festival, la Fête Française! Fête proudly honors our city’s connection to the food, music, art and culture of France. Our theme this year A certain je ne sais quoi… promises to inspire an exciting event which will take place at the school’s main campus, located at 821 General P
ershing Street, between Magazine and Constance Streets.

Fête Française celebrates all that gives the French, our region, and our city… that certain je ne sais quoi!

The festival is known for its exceptional food and drink, specially curated from the area’s top-tier restaurants and fine wine purveyors. This year’s musical lineup stars internationally acclaimed local legends The Soul Rebels, phenom all-star Cajun band T’Monde, and New Orleans brass Daft Punk cover band sensation, Madd Wikkid | Brassft Punk. Games, face and hair painting, a rock-climbing wall, a dunk tank, pony rides, a puppet theatre, French dog royalty, a fine art market and pop-up trunk shows, live and silent auctions, a raffle and a few top-secret surprises are in store for you this year… stay tuned!

Proceeds from Fête Française support Ecole Bilingue de la Nouvelle-Orléans, the first and only private French school in the state accredited by the Ministry of Education of the Republic of France and the State of Louisiana. With an enrollment of 221 students ranging from 18 months of age through the fifth grade, Ecole Bilingue follows the highly esteemed French National Curriculum, recognized around the world for its excellence and rigor.  For the past 16 years, it has been the mission of Ecole Bilingue to provide a distinctive bilingual education for children in New Orleans by combining the best of the French and American academic traditions.

The Market will feature great artists and vendors, including Fern, The Nesting Place, and Simon (of course) who provides the fabulous artwork each year that marks the look of Fête.
