What is the camp’s mission and philosophy?

To explore the lessons of the war that changed the world and be inspired all summer long!

What is the camper-to-counselor ratio?

Spy Camp, Camp Camo and WWII History Explorers camp have a 7:1 ratio

The Bob & Dolores Hope Foundation Theater Camp ratio is 4:1

 

How are staff members screened and trained?

Each camp is led by one lead instructor, often teachers from local schools, and two college-age interns all of whom undergo background checks

 

Is there a daily schedule, and can you provide an example?

Schedules vary from day to day

 

Are there opportunities for free play or downtime?

We intentionally build our schedules to allow for free play and downtime while still being active and engaged in learning throughout the day.

 

How does the camp handle health issues and allergies?

When registering children, parents are asked to inform the camp staff of any allergies, special needs or medical accommodations needed. For more details visit our website.

 

Are there opportunities for parents to visit or participate in camp activities?

For the Bob & Dolores Hope Summer Theater Camp, parents are invited to attend the final variety show performance at the end of camp.
