What is your educational philosophy?
Our school nurtures the whole child through a constructivist educational approach, fostering curiosity, creativity, independence, and foundational skills in a supportive, child-centered environment enriched by music, movement, and Jewish traditions
What are the qualifications and experience levels of your teachers and staff?
Our educators range from those with 30 years of experience to first-year practitioners eager to learn, holding diverse qualifications such as master’s degrees and Child Development Associate certifications.
How do you communicate with parents about their child’s progress and daily experiences?
Our Educators and School Administration use Brightwheel as a tool to help families stay connected to all aspects of their child’s school.
What is your approach to handling challenging behaviors or conflicts among children?
As a school we guide each child to develop a positive self-concept, self-control, and acceptable behavior using constructive, positive, supportive, discipline methods suited to the child’s age at all times.
What health and safety measures do you have in place, and how do you respond to emergencies?
To keep our children safe, happy and healthy and comply with Louisiana licensing regulations, the JCC follows Louisiana Department of Health guidelines for emergency preparedness,infection control, and disease prevention.
