What is the school’s mission and philosophy? Our mission is to provide a rigorous learning environment where students achieve academically, develop intellectual curiosity, and practice environmental responsibility while exploring health and science topics and careers.
How does the school differentiate itself from other charter schools in the area? A hybrid virtual program that combines online instruction with in-person support. It offers students the flexibility to create a schedule that fits their lifestyle.
What are the core values that guide the school community? Our core values are HEART: Honor, Endurance, Academic Achievement, Responsibility, and Tolerance, which are woven into all aspects of school life.
Are there advanced placement, honors programs, or dual enrollment classes available? Discovery Fusion has honors courses available to students as well as high school credit for students in 8th grade.
What extracurricular activities and clubs are available? Extracurricular activities and clubs are available based on student interest
How does the school foster a sense of community among students? In Cypress Room hybrid sessions, students collaborate virtually and in person. We host a weekly “Hump Day Hangout” on Zoom for socializing. We offer additional events to enhance the community.
How can parents get involved in the school community? We encourage parents to take an active role in their child’s education. Additionally, we have a vibrant Parent-Teacher Organization where parents can connect with one another while organizing community events.
