Entrepreneurship Works (EW) is Community Works’ summer entrepreneurship program for middle school students, designed to spark big ideas and help young people turn their creativity into real-world projects. Through hands-on experiences rooted in innovation, leadership, and youth voice, EW supports the next generation of entrepreneurs, creators, and trailblazers. Throughout the program, students explore an engaging entrepreneurship curriculum that introduces them to the building blocks of starting and growing an idea, from identifying a problem to developing solutions and sharing their vision with confidence. EW participants also benefit from mentorship sessions that connect them with supportive adults and professionals who offer guidance, encouragement, and insights into their own career journeys. EW includes workshops and guest speakers who bring fresh perspectives on entrepreneurship, creative industries, and leadership. Students also take part in field trips that expand their understanding of what’s possible right here in New Orleans, helping them see how local businesses and community leaders make an impact. The program culminates in an exciting pitch competition where students present their ideas, celebrate their growth, and practice public speaking in a supportive environment. Entrepreneurship Works runs in July 2026. Registration opens soon!
