Ninja Obstacle Lifting Academy has only been open about a year and a half, but the owner Edgardo Osorio brings in over 10 years of experience of Ninja Warrior and fitness to this new training facility. He decided that New Orleans needed a gym like this to train at after he competed on American Ninja Warrior in 2013. Under a different brand (Nola Muscle Park), his 1st location was in 2015-2017 in Kenner (4K sq ft), 2nd location was in Elmwood from 2018-2021 (2,200 sq ft). Nola Muscle Park was the answer to the cities need for a new training facility that catered to different sports that the regular gyms can’t provide with just traditional gym equipment or workouts that just had a person pick weights up and put them down. In 2019, one of the owners had to step away to pursue other ventures in his life. Edgardo continued and ran the gym successfully for the following 2 years which included getting through a 3 month shut down due to the 2020 Covid lockdown. The gym successfully bounced back and ran as close to normal as possible. The gym hosted a total of 8 National Ninja League competitions with the tremendous help of the community and loyal members of the gym. Nola Muscle Park was the inception. Evolving and moving forward, (N.O.L.A.) Ninja Obstacle Lifting Academy will pick up where Nola Muscle Park left off in a 4,000 sq. ft. facility in New Orleans, Louisiana (NOLA)!

Ninja Obstacle Lifting Academy will get you ready for Ninja Warrior, Parkour, Freerunning, Functional Fitness, Obstacle Course Racing, Calisthenics, Weight Lifting, and more to come. Classes are scaled down to meet you at your fitness level from just starting and beginner to advanced and competitive athletes. Our oldest clients are in their 60s and our youngest start at about 5yrs old.

Our goal is for you to gain confidence to face obstacles, train safely, be persistent, stay consistent, and become more creative all while having fun on your personal obstacle conquering journey. We wish to have these characteristics, and more, apply in and out of the gym to have a greater impact on the community itself. We want families to train together, make fitness a habit, and bond over quality time that will carry on for the rest of their lives. We will strive to make better humans through the sports and training that we offer. We will bring more attention to the sports we train for here in New Orleans first. We are growing and hope you, your family, and your friends come along for the adventure!
