Born and raised in New Orleans, Alyssa Bourgeois is a wife to Blake, mom to Brady and Bryce, and a private client producer with Marsh & McLennan Agency. She enjoys working with people from all walks of life, including those families who are moving into New Orleans. Alyssa especially loves being able to share her family’s passions for the city with those she meets, as well as volunteering at her sons’ school.

Volunteering at School

Since I was young, I’ve always pictured myself being involved in my kids’ school. Our boys are thriving at St. Rita in Harahan, and I am thoroughly enjoying my position on the Home & School Association. There is nothing more fulfilling than when I hear friends in my sons’ class say, “Hey, Brady! There’s your mommy again!”

Date Nights

Nothing like enjoying a hot meal (which doesn’t happen when our boys are around)! Our most recent favorite is MaMou on N. Rampart! There’s something about a quaint dining room with only a few tables that truly makes for a special outing.

Getting Out of the House

We had our youngest during the heat of COVID, so it really felt like we were stuck at home for an eternity with a two year old and newborn. Now, our weekends with the boys consist of birthday parties, festivals, and lots of outdoor time. We are so grateful for our Children’s Museum membership for those rainy days when we need to get out.

Zoo with Subsequent Naptime

The Zoo has become a fast favorite in our household on those weekend mornings without birthday parties. What do we like more than the zoo? The solid nap that comes after!

Mom Friends

I once sent a creepy note in my son’s camp folder to get another mom’s number. Mom friends are a lifesaver! Don’t underestimate the power of other moms who can relate to everything about the current phase of life!
