The Louisiana Children’s Museum (LCM) and Manning Family Children’s have launched a three-year partnership to promote child health and well-being across Greater New Orleans. Announced Aug. 21, the collaboration will integrate onsite wellness services into LCM’s family programming and expand access to essential health resources.
As part of the agreement, Manning Family Children’s will provide physicals, immunizations, health screenings, and mental health support at museum events. The hospital will also serve as the presenting sponsor for LCM’s Play Soiree fundraiser, as well as MudFest and Kindergarten Kickoff.
“Our partnership is a testament to what can be achieved when two organizations, deeply committed to the well-being of children, unite their strengths,” says Tifferney White, CEO of LCM. “We are tremendously excited about the future and the countless positive impacts we will create together.”
The announcement was celebrated in July at a gathering on the LCM campus that included leaders from both organizations, museum summer campers, and families connected to Manning Family Children’s.
“As we celebrate 70 years of standing in the gap for kids, Manning Family Children’s is committed to leading the charge to build a healthier future for kids both within our four walls and through our community partnerships,” says Lou Fragoso, President & CEO of Manning Family Children’s. “By supporting the critical work of the Louisiana Children’s Museum, we are working together to break down silos of care in our city and to change the health of a generation. Together, we are committed to doing just that, and we couldn’t be more excited about the years to come.”
Both organizations have longstanding ties to the community and view the partnership as a model for advancing child well-being beyond their own walls. By embedding health resources within a space dedicated to play and learning, the initiative aims to ensure New Orleans children not only grow but thrive.
