Families in New Orleans can expect a purr-fectly magical experience this weekend as the Louisiana Children’s Museum (LCM) joins a national initiative to bring DreamWorks Animation’s beloved preschool series Gabby’s Dollhouse to life.

As part of the Gabby’s Dollhouse MEOWseum Discovery Days—a collaboration between DreamWorks Animation and the Association of Children’s Museums (ACM)—LCM will host two special Meet & Greet events with Gabby herself, August 2-3. Families can secure their visit and a guaranteed slot to meet the costumed character by reserving tickets online at lcm.org/meowseum.

“ACM and DreamWorks Animation share key values as they relate to playful learning,” says Arthur G. Affleck, III, executive director of the Association of Children’s Museums. “Like children’s museums, Gabby’s Dollhouse emphasizes social-emotional learning and showcases compassion, curiosity, creativity, learning from mistakes, and the joy of teamwork.”

In addition to the character appearances, visitors can enjoy themed programming inspired by the hit series in the days leading up to the event. Activities include dance parties, story times, and a Gabby’s Dollhouse scavenger hunt designed to engage young minds through movement, imagination, and play.

The MEOWseum Discovery Days campaign is a year-long partnership bringing themed experiences to children’s museums across the country. While specific programming may vary by location, all events aim to celebrate creativity, resilience, and the power of imaginative play, core themes of the Gabby’s Dollhouse universe.
