Looking for a free, family-friendly way to beat the heat this weekend? Head to Mandeville High School for the Northshore Knockout, an all-day indoor robotics competition and STEM showcase happening Saturday, July 19, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Admission is free and open to the public.
Hosted by Mandeville High School’s robotics team, 2992 S.S. Prometheus, in partnership with Chevron, the Northshore Knockout is one of the largest off-season robotics competitions in the region and is held alongside a vibrant STEM Fest. The day promises exciting robot-on-robot matches, hands-on STEM activity stations for kids, and an up-close look at how students are leading the way in innovation, engineering, and teamwork.
Teams from across the country will bring their custom-built robots to compete in fast-paced challenges, giving attendees a chance to see real-world applications of science and technology in action. In addition to the main competition, families can enjoy interactive exhibits that encourage children to get curious about coding, building, and design.
The event takes place at Mandeville High School (1 Skipper Dr., Mandeville, LA). Attendees are encouraged to drop in throughout the day, especially during high-energy matchups and kid-friendly STEM demos.
