Chloe Deitelzweig, a rising junior at Benjamin Franklin High School, is in on a mission to spread a little joy while COVID-19 closures has our Senior community isolated.

She recently started an “Adopt A Grandparent” project — where kids in grades 6-12 throughout the south are paired with a residents of senior or assisted living homes.

The goal of the “Adopt A Grandparent” project is for teens and their adopted “grandparent” to communicate weekly and build meaningful relationships.

Deitelzweig recognizes that this can be a very lonely time for everyone, especially for people who are not allowed to have visitors or with no family to stay in touch with.
