Considered New Orleans’ premier french festival, Fête Française (which translate to French Festival), is an annual outdoor festival hosted by Ecole Bilingue de la Nouvelle-Orléans, a French immersion school located in Uptown New Orleans.

This family-friendly fundraiser for all ages celebrates French culture and New Orleans heritage with food, live music, art, and fun activities for everyone. This year marks the 20th anniversary for the festival and this year’s event will be bigger and better than ever!

The theme is “Tour de France” and families will be able to “travel to different regions of France” and experience a variety of French culture.

The Food

New this year is a VIP tent (for adults) with delicious French wine and cheese pairings. Always known for having incredible food, this year’s Fête will again feature moules frites (mussels and fries), cochon de lait (suckling pig), pommes frites (fries), and more! Restaurants serving  fantastic french dishes include, St. James Cheese Company,  Gris-Gris, Cowbell, Crêpes à la Cart, Melba’s Poboys, and more.

The Music

What’s a festival without great music? Michot’s Melody Makers and Ch-wa, both Grammy-nominated headliners, will be playing with several acts to follow. Click here for the full music lineup.

And so much more!

Browse the Le Marché (The Market) for local vendors and artists goodies to take home. Visit the Auction room and bid on some of New Orleans’ finest items. PLUS, enjoy activities, games and prizes – something that everyone will love! Nola Family Magazine is again a proud sponsor of the Children’s area.
