OCT 1
Spooky Tour for Kids
French Quartour Kids, 1100 Chartres St. A spooky tour through the French Quarter, just for kids ages 5-10, with tricks, treats, spells and superstitions. Check website for times and days.
OCT 5
Oktoberfest NOLA
Deutsches House, 1700 Moss St. Enjoy German food, drinks, oompah songs, dancing and more. Click here for more information. Continues Oct. 6, 12, 13, 19, and 20. Fri., 4-11 pm, Sat., 1-11 pm.
Scout Island Scream Park
City Park and The Mortuary Haunted Mansion. For the first time, Scout Island will be transformed into a land of terror and will have activities for all ages. The event is kid-friendly with a pumpkin patch, hay ride, and Scare-Free Kids Zone until sundown. Open weekends thru Oct. & Nov. 2-3.

Halloween Spooktacular Family Concert
Roussel Hall at Loyola Univ., 6363 St. Charles Ave. An annual Halloween Concert, featuring spooky classical favorites and a narrated tale underscored by Stravinsky’s Firebird. For more information, click here. Come in costume. 2:30 pm.

A Dark and Stormy Night
Felicity Church, 1220 Felicity St. A spirited evening of cocktails & ghost stories benefiting 826 New Orleans’s free youth writing programs. 6-10 pm.
OCT 19
Boo at the Zoo
Audubon Zoo. This annual extravaganza is a safe, fun-filled Halloween event for children 12 years and younger, featuring trick-or-treating, a Ghost Train, a haunted house, games and more. Click here to learn more. Continues on Oct. 20, 26, and 27. 5-9 pm.
Ghosts in the Oaks
Carousel Gardens Amusement Park & Storyland City Park. This Halloween event includes trick-or-treating, rides, arts & crafts, and a pumpkin patch. Through Oct. 21. 6-9 pm.
OCT 20
Boo Carré Halloween Haunt
Dutch Alley. Join us for the annual Boo Carré Halloween Celebration featuring live music, kids activities, and more. 10 am-4 pm.
Krewe of Boo
Downtown New Orleans. This spooktacular parade makes its way from Elysian Fields Avenue, down Canal Street and to Andrew Higgins Drive. 6:30 pm.

Park-A-Boo Halloween Festival
Lafreniere Park, Metairie. Enjoy this three-day Halloween festival designed for kids 12 and younger to costume, with a variety of activities for families to enjoy together. Through Oct. 28. 5 pm.
OCT 27
St. Paul’s Episcopal School Fall Fest
St. Paul’s Episcopal School, 6249 Canal Blvd. Have some fun at the Fall Fest with bouncy houses, petting zoo, craft stations, food, drinks, and more. 11 am-3 pm.
OCT 29
New Canal Haunted Lighthouse
New Canal Lighthouse Museum & Education Center, 8001 Lakeshore Dr., New Orleans. Weave your way through spider-web maze and join for a day of fun and games, storytelling, arts and crafts, music, costumes and of course candy! Ideal for ages 12 and under. 4-6 pm.

Bucktown Seafood Festival
St. Louis King of France School, 1600 Lake Ave., Metairie. Amazing food vendors, top-notch entertainment and spectacular carnival rides. A Little Shrimper Village for children. Free and open to the public. Click here for more information. Continues through Nov. 4.
NOV 9
Bayou Road Balloon Festival
8245 W Judge Perez Dr., Chalmette. Three days of fun, thrills, evening hot air balloons glows & tethered rides, local seafood dishes, local & national bands, artisans, crafts, exotic kites shows, craft beers, wines, carnival midway, and more. Through Nov. 11.
NOV 17
Touch a Truck
Pontchartrain Center, 4545 Williams Blvd., Kenner. A unique, one-day experience that gives children and their families an up-close look at their favorite “big trucks” and the opportunity to meet the people that protect, serve, and build Metropolitan New Orleans.
