National Popcorn Day
The French Library, 3811 Magazine St. Celebrate National Popcorn Day at The French Library. Wear your pajamas. 4-5:30 pm.
 
 
Kid’s Night Out at the YMCA
East Jefferson YMCA6691 Riverside Dr., Metairie. The Y knows parents need a break from time to time. With Kids Night Out events, parents can have a night out while kids have fun. Trained Y staff engage children in active play, crafts, theme based games and more! Pizza dinner is included and children are encouraged to dress up according to the Gone Fishing theme to be eligible to win prizes. Members: $10/child, Non-Members: $18/child. Please pre-register, as available spots fill fast. $5.00 late fee added to day of registration. Drop-off 6:30-6:45 pm, pick-up by 10 pm.
 
 
Hamiltunes NOLA: An American Singalong at NOMA
New Orleans Museum of Art, 1 Collins Diboll Cir. Sing like you’re running out of time and raise a glass to freedom, lifting your voices in celebration of our generation’s most popular musical phenomenon. Before the singalong join curator Katie Pfohl for a spotlight tour of NOMA’s iconic Gilbert Stuart portrait of George Washington, and learn why this portrait may be the most reproduced image in all of American history! Hint: It’s all about the money. Costumes are encouraged (no swords or dueling pistols, please). Sign up sheets will be available on site for singers interested in leading songs. General audience participation is welcome! The singalong begins at 7 PM. Sign up for folks interested in leading specific songs from the stage begins at 6:30 PM.

Knee-High Naturalists
Audubon Louisiana Nature Center, 11000 Lake Forest Drive. Audubon Louisiana Nature Center is excited to announce our wonderful new education program for pre-school students! Come join us for 1.5 hour program once a month. Each class will involve an exploratory hike, animal encounter and book reading and/or craft. We would love to have you join us for one or more of these nature classes led by Audubon educators. $12 per child/Member, $15 per child/Non-member, all five classes: $50 Member/$65.00 Non-member. Ages: 3-6 years-old. 10-11:30 am.
 
 
National World War II Museum, US Freedom Pavilion: The Boeing Center, 945 Magazine St. Designed for Girl Scouts to tour the museum’s exhibits, explore the history and lessons of D-Day, and participate in special presentations and activities just for them. Free admission for uniformed Girl Scouts. $5/non-scout children, $10/adults with a Girl Scout. 10 am-2 pm.
 
 
Confetti Park, 451 Pelican Ave, New Orleans. The Algiers Point Association presents this walking parade where everyone is welcome to join in the marching fun…. There will be musicians and other joyous spectacles. Decorate a bike, wagon, cart or stroller, wear a costume, dress your dog in costume and march along! The parade will travel down Verret St.; turn left onto Opelousas; turn left onto Belleville St.; then left onto Pelican, to end at Confetti Park. Dancing Man 504 will serve as Grand Marshal, and there will be a brass band leading the way! Lineup begins at 10:30, Parade rolls at 11:30 a.m.
