Louisiana Crawfish Festival, Frederick J. Sigur Civic Center, Chalmette. Families will enjoy local food, music, rides and arts and crafts at this annual celebration of the mudbug. $5 admission. Touch a Truck, Lakefront Airport. Take an up-close look at the “big trucks” and meet those who protect, serve and build our community. Benefits the Junior League of New Orleans’s community service programs. $8 per person or $30 for a family pack of 5 tickets through March 24; $10 per person or $40 for a family pack at the event. 19th Annual Children’s World’s Fair, Louisiana Children’s Museum. A unique, daylong journey that explores cultural diversity in the fields of science, technology, engineering and math (STEM). Enjoy lively cultural performances and explore the games, music, literature, native attire, crafts and flavors of destinations including: Croatia, Germany, Ghana, Honduras, India, the Philippines, Puerto Rico and Switzerland. StoryQuest: Garden, New Orleans Museum of Art. Professional authors, actors and artists bring the world of children’s literature to NOMA in this family program. Fête Française, Ecole Bilingue de le Nouvelle-Orléans. With the theme of “Vive Le Cirque,” this year’s festival brings together the best French restaurants in New Orleans, an incredible array of French arts and crafts booths, and a fabulous line up of French music by local and visiting artists. “Stella” Shouting Contest, French Quarter. At this highlight of the Tennessee Williams Festival, hopeful winners, usually attired in Stanley Kowalski-style sleeveless undershirts, will compete to shout the most plaintive and convincing appeal to the judges on the balcony of the Pontalba Apartments on Jackson Square. Free. 4 pm. 

Music Under the Oaks, Audubon Park. Bring your lawn chairs for a special spring and fall concert series at the Newman Bandstand to celebrate the Audubon Park Conservancy. Free. Food and drink will be available for purchase. 5-6:30 pm.
