Uncle Sam Jam 2021
July 3, 3–10:30 pm. Free admission.
Lafreniere Park, 3000 Downs Blvd., Metairie. Featuring music by Wilson Phillips, The Guess Who, Creole String Beans, The Phunky Monkeys, The Topcats, and more. Don’t miss this free event which will feature a fireworks display.
*Note, Here Comes the Boom! at the Treasure Chest Casino is cancelled for 2021.
ORLEANS PARISH
Happy 3rd of July
July 3, 7 pm. Free admission.
New Orleans City Park, Goldring/Woldenberg Great Lawn. Enjoy a spirited gathering of community from across the region for a free night of music and fireworks. Arrive early and bring your chairs, blankets, and picnic baskets – don’t forget to your red, white, and blue!
*Note, Go 4th on the River and Fireworks Cruise on the Steamboat Natchez are cancelled for 2021.
ST. TAMMANY PARISH
Land-O-Pines Family Campground Celebration
July 2–5. Reservations required.
The Land-O-Pines Family Campground, 17145 Million Dollar Rd., Covington. Weekend activities include: band Saturday night, D.J. with fireworks Sunday night, tournaments, golf cart parade, poker run, hayrides, daily bingos, games, and more! Waterslide open late on Saturday & Sunday nights ($). Reservations required, 3 night minimum. Cancellation calls by Monday, June 28, to qualify for a deposit transfer or raincheck. (NO REFUNDS!) Madisonville Old Fashioned 4th of July Celebration
July 3, 10am–5 pm; Free admission.
Madisonville Riverfront. Family fun for all includes a 4th of July parade, veterans tribute, and kids games. Participate in fun contests, such as horseshoes, watermelon eating, and a rooster crowing. Fireworks show start at dusk on the Riverfront.
Sparks in the Park
July 3, 4:30–9 pm. Free admission.
Bogue Falaya Park, 213 Park Drive, Covington. Bring your chairs, picnic baskets, and blankets – come enjoy patriotic music and fireworks. Food and drinks will be available for purchase.
Slidell Heritage Festival
July 3, 6–9 pm. Free admission.
Slidell’s Heritage Park, 1701 Bayou Lane, Slidell. Come together as a community and celebrate our beautiful nation! The band Witness will take the stage. Food trucks and beverages will be on-hand. Fireworks will begin at 9pm.
4th of July Celebration
July 4, 10 am–3 pm. $5 admission.
Madisonville Market, 1007 Pine St., Madisonville. Food, crafts, beer, wine, and live music. There is something for everyone! Featuring the music of 5 Finger Discount.
Homecoming: A 4th of July Celebration of Community
July 4, 11 am–9:30 pm. Free admission.
Abita Springs Trailhead. The town of Abita Springs presents Four Unplugged and fireworks! Come early and attend the community Famers Market from 11 am–3 pm. Fireworks begin at 9 pm.
Mande Independence Day Parade
4 pm. Free admission.
Celebrate America with the Mande Milkshakers as they march in their annual Independence Day Parade. The parade will begin at the Pontchartrain Yacht Club and proceed west along Lakeshore Drive, until they reach the performance area for the Light Up the Lake Independence Day Celebration. Light Up the Lake Independence Day Celebration 2021
July 4, 6 pm. Free admission.
Mandeville Lakefront, Lakeshore Drive, Mandeville. The City of Mandeville hosts Light Up the Lake, including entertainment on stage beginning at 6 pm featuring The Boogie Men. Also includes a military tribute, “Keep Mandeville Beautiful” kids tent, food trucks, and fireworks over the lake at dusk. Picnics begin at 10:00 am. No charcoal grills or glass bottles.
ST. CHARLES PARISH
Independence Day Celebration
July 3, 6–9 pm. Free admission.
West Bank Bridge Park, 13825 River Road, Luling. The 31st annual celebration will feature entertainment by Groovy 7 followed by a spectacular fireworks show. Local 12-year-old singer, Ella Grace, will perform the National Anthem.
